Parenting Helps

Regardless of your approach, parenting has its challenges.  Parents combat outside influences that are competing for the affection and attention of their children.  This is ten times more of a problem for Christian parents.  Every day we not only are trying to guard our children against things like alcohol and drugs (like most all parents Christians and non-Christians alike), BUT we are also in a battle to point them towards Christ.  We don't want them to grow up to be false converts, legalistic Pharisees, or unbelievers.  We want to point them towards Christ by teaching them the Gospel and demonstrating the love to them that Christ has shown to us.

The following is a list of fantastic, Christ-centered resources to help the parent unpack what Scripture has to say about parenting.  These resources are not do this do that and get this type of child types of things.  These are just Biblical principles for what God expects of parents, outlined and explained.  You need to avoid the other types of parenting resources that try to "fix" your child.  Your child doesn't need fixing, they need Christ... just like you and I did (and still do daily!).

These have all been helpful to me and my wife and I pray they are to you as well, as I come across more I will add them to the list.  If you have some that you use, please feel free to email them to me so that I can evaluate them as well.
